Synopsis

Maliput Melodies is a heartwarming Odia film celebrating rural life in Odisha through four touching stories. In Kanaphula, two friends selling toys and flutes dream of buying golden earrings for their daughters, but the Rathyatra festival’s COVID cancellation shatters their hopes. Rangamati follows brothers Sana, who supports the family, and Bada, who dreams of Bangalore; a returning villager makes Bada reconsider his choices. Baidakaria a traditional band awaiting Dussehra Puja performance, uncovering unexpected truths amid rising tension. Bhibhaghar portrays a middle-class family navigating challenges while preparing for a wedding. Together, these stories capture rural Odisha’s hopes, struggles, and resilience, weaving a rich tapestry of community, dreams, and enduring human spirit.
