Synopsis
Chakranta is a 2026 Indian Odia-language drama film directed by Pinu Nayak and produced by Sourabh Padhi under the banner of Lakheswar Production . The film stars Subhasish Sharma and Bhoomika Dash in lead roles. It was released theatrically on 27 February 2026 with a CBFC certification of UA13+ and a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes . The story follows Naina , a young professional living independently in Bhubaneswar. Her life takes a tragic turn when a colleague who was emotionally attached to her is killed in a police encounter, and she is falsely implicated in the case. Public perception quickly turns against her, leading to social ostracism. Under the burden of humiliation and societal judgment, Naina’s father dies by suicide. Abandoned by her partner and condemned by society, she is left with no support. A principled police inspector offers her one final opportunity to prove her innocence. Determined to uncover the truth, Naina embarks on her own investigation. Her pursuit leads to the exposure of a powerful drug cartel operating behind the scenes. With evidence brought to light, she ultimately clears her name in court and restores her dignity.
